TRADITIONAL FOUNDATIONS MEETS DIGITAL ARTS
Based on a solid traditional skillset and in collaboration with state-of-the-art technologies, Fullerton College’s Art Department offers a variety of courses, Certificates and Degrees for students striving to become versatile artists, while opening new doors for current professional who want to adapt to new trends within the Creative Industries. The Art Department’s busy exhibition season features the work of professional Artists from all over the World, as well as work by our Faculty and students. The Artist in Residence program provides students with a week-long experience with a professional artist, who offers demonstrations, lectures, and a gallery exhibition. The Permanent Art Collection at Fullerton College spans all genres and includes work by artists like Wayne Thiebaud, Florence Arnold, John Paul Jones, Thomas Campbell, Stephen Silver and Frank Romero.
The students work in five of the most advanced Digital Labs in the region, offering both Mac and Windows stations, Wacom Cintiqs and tables, to industrial 3D Printers used in manufacturing and Creative Industries. From traditional Sculpture to 3D/CGI, Ceramics to 3D Printing, Drawing and Painting to Animation, students learn both theory and practical handson exercises based on real-world examples, not only using traditional tools and Industry Standard software and hardware, but also taught by Faculty with many years of experience working in Creative Industries, from film, television, animation and video game studios, magazine design and print, multimedia and interactive to toy manufacturing companies.

GALLERY EXHIBITION SEASON
The Art Department regularly produces exhibitions of art work by guest artists from around the world, our distinguished faculty, the finest examples of student art work, and selections from our exceptional permanent art collection.
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE WEEK
The annual, four-day residency includes a series of studio demonstrations, an evening slide-lecture, and an exhibition of the artist’s work in our gallery providing our community an example of how to make a life in the arts.
STUDENT ART EXHIBITION
Fullerton College students have an opportunity every spring to enter our juried Student Art Exhibition. Any artwork created in one of our art classes is eligible, and may receive one of our many awards. This exhibition provides a showcase for our student artists and insight into the kinds of skills you can learn
in our courses.
