Holiday Art Sale, Exhibition and Silent Auction
December 4th, 2006 - December 9th, 2006About the Exhibit:
The annual holiday art sales event is an exhibit and sale of student, faculty and local community artwork including ceramics, jewelry, oil and watercolor paintings, drawings, glasswork, sculpture, and photography (both digital and traditional) GROWING PANES WINDOW SILENT AUCTION: The first annual "Growing Panes" Silent Auction will also take place during this time. A silent auction is where an object (in this case a 30" x 40" Stained Glass Window, a collaborative Art 176 class project) is on view for a given period of time while interested buyers place their name and bids on a list out-bidding the previous bidder on the list. The highest bidder at the end of the auction keeps the item. SILENT AUCTION DETAILS: The highest bidder on Saturday December 9th at 2pm will be the owner of the window. This year’s "Growing Panes" Project Stained Glass Window was sponsored anonymously by two very generous Fullerton residents. The sponsors have chosen the charitable organization Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service to receive 100% of the monies received through the silent auction. WHAT IS THE FULLERTON INTERFAITH EMERGENCY SERVICE? The Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service is a non-profit organization which provides food, transitional housing and support services to the hungry, homeless and less advantaged in North Orange County. Please go to http://www.fies.us and find out more. Come be the highest bidder for the Stained Glass Window at the Silent Auction or purchase some other singular artwork at the Fullerton College Holiday Art Sale . Art is a great gift to give ANYTIME!
