Students are given the opportunity to learn new techniques and are challenged to constantly improve as artists. The Fullerton College Art Department offers a wide variety of courses for students striving to become versatile artists, opening more doors for professional opportunity. The Art Department’s busy exhibition season features the work of professional artists from all over the world as well as work by our faculty and students. The Artist in Residence program provides students with a week-long experience with a professional artist, who offers demonstrations, lectures, and a gallery exhibition. The permanent art collection at Fullerton College spans all genres and includes work by artists like Wayne Thiebaud, Florence Arnold, John Paul Jones, Thomas Campbell, and Frank Romero.

Gallery Exhibition Season
The Art Department regularly produces exhibitions of art work by guest artists from around the world, our distinguished faculty, the finest examples of student art work, and selections from our exceptional permanent art collection.
Artist in residence week
The annual, four-day residency includes a series of studio demonstrations, an evening slide-lecture, and an exhibition of the artist's work in our gallery providing our community an example of how to make a life in the arts.
Student Art Exhibition
Fullerton College students have an opportunity every spring to enter our juried Student Art Exhibition. Any artwork created in one of our art classes is eligible, and may receive one of our many awards. This exhibition provides a showcase for our student artists and insight into the kinds of skills you can learn in our courses.
