Megan Lorraine Debin is PhD candidate in the Department of Art History at UCLA, where she also earned a Master’s degree in Latin American studies and a BA in Art History and Italian. Her research interests include contemporary performance and land art in Mexico, pre-Columbian art, global indigenous arts, feminist, activist, and street art, and her pedagogical interests center on innovation and technology. She is currently writing her doctoral dissertation, titled "Body Traces: Contemporary Art Against Violence in Mexico.” To date, her research has benefitted from the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and UC Mexus.
